SHOW NOTES:

1) We review the current standings and some possible AL playoff matchups.  Who will smoke who in the ALDS?

2) My thoughts on all of the managerial changes we’ve seen throughout MLB this season…is it better for a team to stick with one manager for 20 years or see 20 different managers in 20 years?

3) Zack Greinke and why he’s not as good this season as he was last season.

4) Longballer of the week!

SHOW NOTES:

There really wasn’t a lot of scandalous, juicy information to gossip about this week.  I guess our boys of the AL have been behaving themselves lately, which meant that I found other things to talk about– like the upcoming AL matchups for the division leaders and the controversial Coach’s Interference ending to a recent Twins/ Rangers game.  And, as always, I promise to still bring you the Longballer of the Week!

1) We start you off with the standings, which haven’t changed much at all this week.  I’ll also take a brief look at the injury reports and give you an idea of how players on the DL are currently affecting the division front runners.

2) The left field ballboy for the Oakland A’s is now officially more popular than the team itself.  Find out what he’s been doing to get so much attention.

3) I’ll give you my take on the Jay Mariotti incident.  (Although you can probably already guess where this is going…)

4) Roger Clemens’s refusal to acknowledge that he did PEDs only means one of two things.  Find out what they are.

5) Longballer of the week!

1) We take a look at the standings and muse about recent movement.  We’ll also fill you in on Brandon Morrow’s bid for a no-hitter, and I’ll tell you what I think about the 2-out hit that broke it up.  Should that really have been scored a hit?  Also, the Blue Jays have a rookie catcher up their sleeve who is tearing up the basepaths…because he can’t stay off of them.

2) The Yankees do what they do best, which is breaking a bunch of offensive records.  Tune in to hear about Derek Jeter’s and A-Rod’s most recent milestones.

3) Sale of the Texas Rangers to Nolan Ryan and Chuck Greenberg: good or bad?  Find out what I think and why!

4) There’s a new (old) presence in Baltimore, and he’s really been lighting some fires in that cellar.

5) Longballer of the week!

I’m back from vacation, and this show is all about trades.  And the standings, and Longballer of the Week, as we always do.  But mostly just about the recent trades that have taken place in the AL.

1) We discuss the standings, division races, etc.  A couple of AL teams have recently made trades to improve their catching situations, so I’ll tell you who they gave up and if the trades were a good deal for either team.

2) The 2010 AL All-Star starters have been announced!  Find out who they are, plus, find out who you can continue to vote in for MLB’s “Final Vote.”

3) I share with you successful Wisconsin rapper Just Cracker’s new hit, titled “R.B.I.”

4) Longballer of the week!
