Lance Williams is a rising star of sports broadcasting in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mixing his knowledge of sports with a hip, honest, and down-to-earth perspective, Lance actively engages his listeners and guests while sustaining a give-and-take flow of interaction. His style is serious, aggressive and slightly sarcastic, but above all, Lance remains compelling and entertaining.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lance graduated from UC Berkeley and received his Masters of Public Policy degree from Carnegie Mellon. He headed straight into the radio biz and got his first break at KALX 90.7, where he worked from 1988-1992 and co-hosted the Benni-B show. A former rap emcee, Lance also answers to the nickname “Big Swa.” Also, Lance Williams is the recipient of the 2005 Podcast Show Award in the sports category for the Podcast, 1954 and Counting.
